SAN FRANCISCO– Before a packed house for Spirit Night at The Swamp at The Don Nasser Family Plaza, the SF State Gators improved to 12-8 overall and 6-8 in the CCAA with a 85-69 win over the visiting Humboldt State Lumberjacks. The Lumberjacks (14-6, 8-6 CCAA) scored the first three points of the second half to cut the hosts' lead to 42-30, but that is the closest they would get as the Gators went on a 23-5 run capped by a
Damien Rance three off an assist from
Nick Calcaterra to give them a 65-35 lead. They increased their lead to 77-45 (their largest of the game) on a lay-up by

The top eight teams at the end of the regular season will receive a bid to the CCAA Basketball Championships which start on March 1.
