SAN RAMON, Calif. - Bailey Johnson of the San Francisco State volleyball team has been named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Player of the Week for October 29 - November 4, the conference announced this morning. 

Johnson hit .486 with 22 kills (3.14 kills/set) and three digs and six total blocks as the Gators made it four straight wins to wrap up the regular season. The junior opened up with 15 kills and a dominating .522 hitting mark in the four-set win against Sonoma State. She also led the Gators to a sweep of Humboldt State, hitting .429 to helped SF State clinch its first postseason berth since 2015.

The middle blocker leads the team with a .316 hitting percentage on the year, which is currently the tenth-best hitting mark in a season in program history. Johnson becomes the first CCAA Player of the Week honoree for SF State since Jaclyn Clark in 2015.

The Gators return to the court on Thursday as they open up the CCAA Championships against No. 1 Cal State San Bernardino at 7:30 p.m. in Turlock, California. A live stream will be produced by BAOSN.TV, and live results will be provided.
