HAYWARD, California - The San Francisco State men's track & field team returned on Friday to kick off the new season at the East Bay Quad Meet, winning the meet with 112 total points.
SF State swept the podium in the 100m with Adrihel Ibarra taking first with a time of 12.29 and Jacob Mendoza following with a 12.75 for second place. Elias Rosales placed third with a 13.29, and in fifth was Peter Swinkels with a mark of 13.38. Tony Margiotta rounded out the contingent with a 13.97.
Ibarra also led the way in the 200m, crossing in 24.83 for another first place finish. Mendoza got second with a time of 25.55. Swinkels (27.44), Rosales (28.99) and Margiotta (29.16) took fifth to seventh, respectively.Â
Austin Sanchez placed third in the 3000m with a time of 9:07.78, and Michael Kilgariff followed in fourth with a 9:11.81.
Magin recorded a 5.31m in long jump, which earned him in first place.
