How They Scored
  • Hildan reached on an infield single in the second, advancing Latrice Thompson, who pinch ran for Revoir. Hildan quickly scored on a Thomson steal, and Thomson plated on a Samantha Alvarez double to left for the 2-0 lead.
  • The Vulcans (1-2) took a one-run lead on Kimberly Olivas' three-run double to right in the bottom half.
  • Vallejos led off the third with a solo shot to deep center, her first collegiate home run. With one down, Katie Rohrer signed to left, and was replaced by Triniti Scruggs, who stole second. Hildan then scored her as she reached on an error by the short stop.
  • The Gators added another run the fifth as Vallejos scored on a groundout.
  • Hildan came around on a sac fly by Haylee Nunes in the sixth, and Sydney Jenkins scored on an error off the bat by Michelle Castro.
