SAN FRANCISCO - In thrilling fashion, the San Francisco State softball team bounced back on Sunday to win game two in five innings, 11-3, against Cal State Dominguez Hills, who won game one 11-3 in nine after tying it in the seventh.
- SF State (16-13/14-12 CCAA), who is second in the CCAA with a .318 batting average 221 hits heading into today, has won six of their last nine contests.
- Brylynn Vallejos, who came into today tied for the conference lead with 39 hits, added two more in game one and went a perfect 4-for-4 in game two while tying a season high with three batted in. She clubbed her fourth home run of the year in game two to give the Gators the lead.
- Nina Revoir went 3-for-3 for her ninth multi-hit game this season.Â
- Andrea Hildan had two hits in game two and Lehua DeLeon had a season-high three hits with a pair of runs scored.
- Game two was their fourth run-rule victory this season.
- SF State was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts and were 9-of-10 during the four-game series.
GAME ONE
- Vallejos reached on a bunt single in the third and went to third on a two-base throwing error on the catcher. She quickly scored as Hildan reached on a fielding error by the second baseman to make it 1-0.
- In the fifth, Jenkins and Vallejos hit back-to-back singles to lead off the inning. Two batters later Castro singled up the middle to score Sydney Jenkins, and Revoir walked to load the bases. Sturm plated Vallejos to make it 3-0 on a grounder to short.Â
- A three-run home run by Ashley Wies tied things up with one down in the seventh.
- The Toros (16-11/13-11 CCAA)Â plated eight in the ninth inning on seven hits to take game one of the day, 11-3.

- Emily Mitchell sat the Toros down in order in the second, third and sixth while throwing nine innings with the help of some stellar defense as SF State didn't commit an error for the seventh time this season.
GAME TWO
- Dominguez Hills jumped to a 1-0 lead in the third on Damari Simon's sacrifice fly to right, with Sturm making a great over-the-shoulder catch on the play.
- In the bottom half, DeLeon led off with a double to center, was sacrificed over to third by Samantha Alvarez, and scored on a wild pitch. Pinch hitter Tianna Jacques walked, and Vallejos roped a two-run home run off the scoreboard to put SF State up 3-1.
- One more came across in the fourth on DeLeon's RBI single to center that scored Sturm, who reached on a walk.
- Chenoa Au led off the fifth with a solo shot to right.
- The visitors scored two in the fifth and had the tying run try to score on a sac fly to center, but Vallejos riffled in the throw to Jenkins who applied the tag for the last out.
- SF State made the most of two Toro errors as they scored seven in the bottom half to walk off victorious. Vallejos led off with a single to center and HIldan followed with a base hit. Castro reached on an error to load the bases and Revoir singled home Vallejos for the first run. Sturm hit a sacrifice fly to right to score pinch runner Triniti Scruggs, and, after a double steal, Hayley Nunes reached on an error that scored Revoir and Castro to make it an 8-3 lead. DeLeon's base hit to left moved Nunes to second, and the pair each advanced a base on Alvarez's groundout to third. Jenkins plated Nunes on a single to deep second, and Vallejos got her second base hit of the inning to plate DeLeon and put SF State up 10-3. Hildan whacked an infield single to third that allowed Jenkins to score the winning run and seal the series win.

- Karla Soto got her ninth start of the season, going all five with two earned and a strikeout.
