GAME ONE

- SF State got the runs right back as Vallejos led off with a walk and stole second. With one down she stole third and scored on a throwing error. Revoir walked with two outs and came around on Tianna Jacques' triple to left, her second triple in just as many days to tie it up, 2-2.
- In the fifth, Lehua DeLeon singled up the middle and moved to second on Sydney Jenkins' bunt single to third. Vallejos plated the fellow freshman on a base hit to center, putting the Gators up 3-2. Vallejos advanced on a passed ball and Andrea Hildan legged out an infield single to short to keep the inning going and score Vallejos for the two-run lead. Michelle Castro reached on a hit-by-pitch, and Revoir walked to load the bases. Jacques worked a bases-loaded walk against new pitcher Caitlin Vinyard to cap off the three-run frame and the 5-2 lead.
- San Marcos got the runs right back in the top of the sixth, with Andrea Wood's two-run double off the top of the left-field wall to start the scoring and Ellie Smith tying it up with a sacrifice fly to center.
- The visitors went up 6-5 in the seventh with Scardina adding her third RBI of the day on a single. SF State would put two runners in scoring position with one down in the bottom half, but the Cougars got out of the jam to secure the victory.
GAME TWO
- Emily Mitchell allowed just three hits over the course of five innings. She would go on to throw 5.2 with six strikeouts, her fourth game of the year with six or more strikeouts. Karla Soto tossed 1.1 in relief with a pair of strikeouts and no earned.
- San Marcos continued its offensive streak to take a 4-0 lead in the top of the first. Scardina doubled to right to plate three and Jaqlyn Newhouser singled to right to score Scardina for the early advantage.
- In the bottom half, Vallejos once again led off with a walk and worked her way to third while Castro reached on a fielder's choice. The duo successfully pulled a double steal as Castro baited the catcher with a throw to second but steal reached and Vallejos stole home to put SF State on the board.
- The Gators added another in the second when Samantha Alvarez came around on a trowing error after reaching on a fielder's choice.
- The hosts tied up when Revoir plated Castro on a double to left-center, and Rohrer tripled home pinch runner Torres to tie it up, 4-4.
- Cal State San Marcos regained a two-run lead after scoring in the fourth and fifth innings.
- In the sixth, Vallejos led off with a walk and scored on Castro's base hit to right-center. Castro then scored herself on a throwing error to tie it up, 6-6.
- The Cougars took a 7-6 lead in the 12, but SF State answered with Triniti Scruggs working a bases-loaded walk and Jacques sent everyone home with a sacrifice fly to left for the 8-7 win.
- Soto got the start, going 4.1 before being replaced by Mitchell, who threw 7.2 in relief for the win with five strikeouts.
The Gators head south to take on UC San Diego on Thursday, March 4 with a doubleheader starting at 4 p.m.
