  • In the sixth inning of game two, SF State (33-16) broke and set a new program record for runs scored and now have 294. They broke the previous record of 291 which was set in 2007.
  • The Gators also broke the program record for RBI in a season with 252. This also bests the 2007 team's mark of 251.
  • The 446 hits on the year and 62 doubles are both second-most in history.
  • SF State has won four straight and 13 of their last 14.
  • The 33 wins on the year are the fourth-most in program history and the most since 2006 when they won 41.
  • Brylynn Vallejos went 4-for-5 in game one, her fourth four-hit game of the season and 23rd multi hit game this year. The freshman added two hits in game two and now has 82 on the year and is one away from tying the all-time record by Vanessa Rodrigue, who set the record in 2007.
  • Lehua DeLeon went 2-for-3 and Sydney Jenkins added three hits in the opener. Michelle Castro batted in a pair, which came on a game-tying two-run double in the fifth. Castro also had the game-tying hit in game two, which also game in the fifth.
  • Jenkins threw out two runners to bring her season total to a CCAA-leading 23.
  • SF State got the leadoff runner on in five of the seven innings in game one.

How They Scored
  • The Penguins (8-31) jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first on RBI doubles by Dahlen Dennis and Alyssa Ramirez.
  • SF State bounced back in the second with DeLeon singling to center with one down and Alvarez scoring her on a double to right-center. Jenkins moved Alvarez to third with a base hit to left, and Vallejos loaded the bases as she reached on an error by the first baseman. Hayley Nunes was hit by a pitch to score Alvarez and make it 3-2.
  • In the bottom half, Mady Christensen hit a two-run shot to left to put the Penguins up 5-2.
  • Jenkins led off the fourth with a base hit to left and went to second on a fielding error by the left fielder. Vallejos singled to second and Jenkins went to third, and Nunes walked to load the bases. This brought up Castro, who doubled to left-center to tie it up, 5-5. Nunes scored one batter later on a passed ball for the first lead of the day.
  • In the fifth, DeLeon led off with a single and Alvarez moved her to second on a sacrifice bunt. Vallejos then ripped a ball to left to score DeLeon and make it a two-run lead.
  • The hosts got one back in the sixth with Cinchilla's RBI single to left to cut it to one.
  • Hildan regained the two-run lead in the bottom half as she beat out an infield single to short to score Sturm who reached on a walk.

How They Scored
  • Molly Peyton put Dominican up 2-0 in the first with a two-run home run to left.
  • The rally continued in the second, with Christensen scoring the first on a base hit to left and McKenzie Schumacher plating a pair on a double to center to push it to 5-0.
  • In the fourth, Sturm hit her fifth home run of the season, which ties her for the team lead, to put SF State on the board.
  • The Gators tied things up in the fifth, which started with DeLeon's leadoff walk. Alvarez sacrificed her over with a bunt, and Jenkins reached on an error that moved DeLeon to third. Vallejos scored DeLeon for the first run and moved Jenkins to third on a double to center. Nunes grounded out to short but scored Jenkins that made it 5-3, and Castro cleared them all and tied it up once again with a two-run home run to center, her second of the year.
  • Another four-run frame put the Gators up 9-5 in the sixth. Hildan beat out a bunt single with one down and was replaced by pinch runner Latrice Thomson. DeLeon walked, and Alvarez scored the pair on a double to right-center, her third double in the last four games. Jenkins then tripled to right to score Alvarez and Vallejos hit a bloop single to right to make it 9-5.
  • An insurance run came across in the seventh with Castro leading off with a walk, stealing second, and scoring on Tianna Jacques' double to right.
