How it Happened

CPP staked a six-point lead in the first four minutes but the Gators evened the score over the next two minutes. SF State took a 14-11 lead off of a Chandler three-pointer but the Broncos took control back with a 10-0 run before Chandler laid one in at the eight-minute mark to keep the Gators within five, and the deficit grew to eight at the half. SF State had seven fewer field goals but kept the game close thanks to 6-of-6 free throw shooting.

The Gators cut the lead to two with under 11 minutes to go on a pair of Okeke free throws and Devon Jackson tied the game at 42-42 with a jumper from Okeke, then took the lead on Zebaniah Jackson's layup from Orr with 10 minutes to go.

However, the Broncos answered with a 9-0 run and the Gators found themselves in another seven-point hole. A Chandler dunk inside five minutes pulled the Gators to within four but the Broncos outscored SF State 9-5 run in the final four minutes.
