CARSON — The San Francisco State baseball team dropped a pair of tight games in a double header with Cal State Dominguez Hills at Toros Field. They fell 5-4 in game one adn were walked off in game two 9-8.
- SF State falls to to 6-5 and 1-2 in the CCAA while CSU Dominguez Hills improves to 7-6 and 2-1 in the CCAA.
- The Gators had two extra base hits in both games, each coming from Kody Gardner and Luke O'Brien.
- Sammy Gonzales went 5-for-9 on the day with a stolen base.
- Game one featured three Gator errors.
- The Gators drew five hit by pitches in game two.
The Toros pounced on the Gators in the second inning, scoring two of their three runs off a wild pitch. The Gators would take advantage of a Toros miscue themselves to cut the lead to 3-2 in the following inning. Another tough inning for the defense in the bottom of the third plated a pair of Toros to give them a 5-2 lead.

Nick Upstill hit RBIs to cut the deficit to 5-4 in the top of the ninth and
Justin Clark was in scoring position to tie the game but the Gators could not complete the comeback and struck out.
A big three-run lead to open the game was quickly erased as the Toros scratched four through the first two innings. O'Brien's double in the third inning put the Gators back on top 5-4, but Dominguez Hills would hit a 2-RBI double to retake the lead in the fourth. Down 8-6 in the top of the final inning, Upstill hit an RBI single to get on base and made his way around the bases to score on a stolen base home to tie the game. Loska came to bat first in the bottom of the inning for the Toros and homered to end the game.
- Tyler Franks, who started in game one, was charged with the loss.
- Nathan Shinn came in for Franks and pitched three scoreless innings to keep the Gator comeback hopes alive.\
- Gary Grosjean started game two and gave up eight of the Gator runs.
- Theo Dopkins drew the loss, pitching in the final inning.
