How it Happened

The Gators handcuffed the Seawolves, allowing just six points over the first 11 minutes of action. SF State never trailed in the game and led by 12 at the 10-minute mark on Zebaniah Jackson's post move. SF State held SSU to a staggering 20.8 percent shooting (5-of-24) in the half and cruised to a 40-16 halftime lead.

The Seawolves found their offensive rhythm early in the second half and cut into the Gators halftime lead in half, 46-34. SSU continued to threaten as the Gators saw their lead dwindle to single digits with eight minutes to go. Chandler knocked down a pair of free throws, then Mikey Robinson Jr. bounced a backdoor pass to Flanagan to push the lead back to a dozen. Sonoma State trimmed the lead back to nine but SF State held off the Seawolves the rest of the way.
