SAN DIEGO — The San Francisco State volleyball team fell in three sets to host team Point Loma. After falling behind in the first set 25-16, a rally in set two came up short 28-26. The Gators dropped the third set with a score of 25-20.

The Gators opened set one with four straight points. Point Loma came back and kept the set tight until an 8-0 run gave them a 21-13 lead that they would not relinquish the rest of the way.
Trailling most of the second set, Katelyn Sonnier had a hand in three points in a five point run to tie the set at 20 apiece. A kill from Wilson put the Gators at set point with a 24-23 score, but the Sea Lions responded with a kill of their own. The Gators were unable to reclaim the lead and the Sea Lions scored two points in a row to end the set.
Similar to the first set, the Gators played close for the first half of set three. A 7-0 run from the Sea Lions put them up 22-16. The Gators would come back within four, but the Sea Lions were able to close out the set to take the match.
