- The Gators improve to 3-3 on the season. The Golden Eagles fall to 2-3 on the season.

After taking their first lead of set one at 5-4, the Gators quickly fell behind when the Golden Eagles outscored them 11-1. The Gators stayed in the set thanks to errors from CUI but could never find a rythm and dropped the first set.
The Gators regrouped and came out strong in set two. A 15-5 start to the set was sparked by eight Gator kills including four from Wilson. CUI came within five but the Gators kept them from completing the comeback.
In what would be the closest set of the day, neither team took more than a three-point lead during set three. SF State looked to close things out with a 24-22 lead but a service error followed by a kill from CUI forced the set the continue. The Gators responded well with back-to-back kills from Josie Collier and Rebecca Rendahl.
The fourth set looked to be another close back and forth set between the two teams until the Gators used a 12-1 run to take a 20-12 lead over CUI. Velasquez landed all four of her service aces of the match during that run.
