Using some momentum from the first set, the Gators started set two up 8-2 before the Yotes called a timeout. A potent Gator offense finished the set with a .520 hitting percentage and held San Bernardino to six kills.
Tied 9-9, the Yotes landed three straight kills in a 6-1 run to lead 15-10. The Gators were able to come within four late in the set but four straight Gator miscues allowed the Yotes to take a comfortable lead the rest of the way.
Trailing 22-14 in set four, Issak provided a boost and landed three kills in a 4-0 run to make a comeback manageable. The Yotes called a timeout and made enough adjustments to close out the set.
Back-to-back blocks featuring four different Gators put SF State up 8-7 at the midway point of set five. Issak landed a kill to force a timeout and back-to-back errors from the Yotes caused them to call their second time-out. Up 14-9, the Gators need one more point for victory but the Yotes stayed in it and came within one. The Gators called a time-out and Wilson came up clutch once again to deliver the victory for the Gators.
