How It Happened

The Gators opened set one with a 9-1 run that featured three aces from Tamiya Wilson. SF State flexed their dominance early and never trailed by more than six points after that.

After a slow start to set two where Lubbock jumped out to a 4-0 lead thanks to three straight aces, the Gators found their footing. The Gators would rattle off five straight kills to take a 9-6 lead and never look back. SF State finished the set without a single attack error.

Tied 11-11, the Gators slowly started to pull away in the final set of the match. Errors from Lubbock kept the Chaps from taking back the set and the Gators came up with the win.
