How It Happened

The Gators and Warriors battled closely in set one as each side would side out after every point the first half of the set. The Gators found enough momentum near the end of the set as a 3-0 run put them up 23-19. Wilson accounted for eight kills in the first set.

An 8-3 run to start the second set led by three kills from Issak put the Gators up early and they never looked back. The Gators hit .356 percent in the set compared to the Warrior's .222

Tied 19-19, Stanislaus landed a kill and back-to-back aces gave them a three-point lead late in the third set. The ensuing service went out and back-to-back errors tied the set up. Issak landed a kill to take the lead. Stanislaus called a timeout but the Gators got the next two points coming out of the time-out to claim the match.
