SAN FRANCISCO - The RV San Francisco State volleyball team beat Hawaii Hilo in three sets (25-22, 25-20 and 25-15) and picked up a convincing three-set win over Concordia Irvine (25-13, 25-14, 25-21) in the evening.

- The Gators improve to 4-2 on the young season with all wins so far coming in the form of sweeps. Concordia and Hilo were selected to finish fifth and sixth respectively in the PacWest.
- Izzy Issak and Tamiya Wilson paced the offense with 31 and 29 kills on the day.
- Asia Arbaugh had 10+ digs on both matches of the day and recorded a season-high four aces against Concordia.
- Kimberly DeBoer had 68 assists on the day and served three aces versus Hilo.

Tied at 10-10 in the first set, the Gators used a 6-1 run that was broken up by a service error to swing momentum in their favor. Some unforced errors helped the Vulcans come within one point at  at 22-21.
Izzy Issak landed back-to-back kills to get the Gators to set point and an error from Hawaii Hilo sealed the set.
Issak had four kills in a 5-0 run that gave the Gators a 22-15 lead in set two. Hilo responded with five straight points of their own but Issak and Wilson had a hand in three straight points to give the Gators the second set win.
The Gators started the third set off on the wrong foot and trailed 9-6 but five straight points put the Gators back on top and forced a timeout by Hilo. Out of the timeout, the Gators went on a 7-1 run that featured a pair of service aces and a kill from
Kimberly DeBoer.

The Gators came out of the gate strong in set one and hit a blazing .533 percent to take control of the set. The continued the momentum in set two and did not land a single attack error during the set. SF State faced its most adversity in the final set. Tied at 10-10, the Golden Eagles hit back-to-back aces to force a Gator timeout. Coming out of the timeout, an Issak kill sparked a 4-0 run to put the Gators back on top. The Golden Eagles would tie the set one more time but the Gators were able to pull away late in the set.
