How It Happened

The Gators used a 6-1 run to create some early separation in set one and take a 10-6 lead. SF State did not allow the Otters to record a block or ace as they edged them out to take set one.

SF State trailed for the majority of set two but three straight kills tied things up at 23-23. Isaak landed a kill to tie the match again at 24-24 but her ensuing serve went into the next and the Otters landed a block to take the second set.

After a close set two loss, the Gators flipped the switch and dominated the third set, recording a blazing .533 hitting percentage in the set. The Gators recorded five aces in the set. Goodrich led the Gators with six kills in the third.

The Gators started the fourth set off slow but a 5-1 run put them on top 8-6 and they never looked back. Wilson led the way in the set with seven kills.
