LOS ANGELES - The San Francisco State volleyball team dropped a road contest to Cal State LA 3-0 (17-25, 14-25, 13-25).
- The Gators fall to 6-11 on the season and 5-5 in the CCAA. Los Angeles improves to 13-4 and 9-1 in the CCAA.
- Grace Witcher had seven kills to lead the Gators.
- Serving was an issue throughout the match for the Gators. Grace Kool had the lone ace for SF State. They also had 10 service errors. LA had eight aces in the match.
- SF State finished with a season-low 22 kills.
The Gators' first set started off as a back-and-forth affair. Tied at 15-15, the Golden Eagles went on a 6-1 run to take a 21-16 lead. Witcher landed a kill to get the serve back but a service error from the Gators gave the Golden Eagles the serve and a couple more Gator errors led to a set win by the Golden eagles. The Gators could not get much going in the next two sets and finished with a .032 and -.032 hitting percentage in sets two and three respectively.
