SACRAMENTO, Calf. - San Francisco State men's basketball team went through several shooting cold stretches against Sacramento State and could not stop a hot scoring Hornets team that beat them 94-46.

- Fed Pernell was the lone Gator to reach double in figures in scoring with 11 points.
- The Gators shot 23.8 percent from the field and only 14.7 from deep. In contrast, Sacramento State shot 47.9 percent.
- The Hornets had 13 steals and seven blocks against the Gators.
- Milandev Chatha had a team-high seven rebounds.
- Jahni Summers and Prophet Johnson each had 21 points for Sac State.
The game was at an 8-5 stalemate in favor of the Hornets for three minutes. A turnover by the Gators lead to a dunk by Brandon Gardner that sparked a 7-0 run. Down 30-11, Parsa Hadjighasemi and Brandon Lucas provided a spark from the bench with back-to-back three's but the Gators offense couldn't get much else going and went into the locker room down 49-23.
The Hornets had four three-pointers in a 12-3 run to take a 63-28 lead heading into the under 16 media time-out. The Gators found a little more of an offensive rhythm but were unable to slow down the Hornet's offense.
