LOS ANGELES - The San Francisco State men's basketball team fell to Cal State LA 101-57 Friday evening.
- SF State falls to 1-8 and 0-3 in conference. Cal State LA improves to 3-6 and 2-1 in the CCAA
- Miles Pollard, Bricen Buciak and Milandev Chatha each had 11 points for the Gators. Chatha had the first double-double of the season and grabbed 10 boards.
- The Gators were unable to contain a Golden Eagle offense that shot 56.9 from the field and 46.9 from deep.
- SF State struggled at the line and shot 13-of-25.
- Five different Golden Eagles scored in double figures.
The Golden Eagles opened the game up 9-0 before Chatha scored and made the and-one basket to get the Gators on the board. Buciak and Mason Harris each contributed baskets to get the Gators back within two. Los Angeles went on a 16-1 scoring drive to swing moment back in their favor. Parsa Hadjighasemi scored a three to finally give the Gators a basket and cut the deficit to 25-11. The Gators were unable to get closer than 14 points and Cal State LA closed out the second half up 52-28. The Gators were unable to slow down a hot offense in the second half as the Golden Eagles shot 63.3 percent from the field.
