- The Gators edged the Pioneers in rebounds 35-34. Milandev Chatha led the Gators with eight.
- Turnovers plagues the Gators as they finished with 22. East Bay scored 28 points off turnovers.

East Bay scored on the first four possessions to lead 8-0 and force a Gator time-out. Buciak scored coming out of the timeout but the Gators struggled to hold onto the ball against a physical Easy Bay defense. Down 33-16 with 2:18 to go in the half, Chatha made a pair of free throws and Miles Pollard made a buzzer-beater three in the final seconds to make it a 12-point game.
Chatha scored on a jumper to cut the deficit down to 10 to start the second half. East Bay scored on five of their next six possessions to take a 44-25 lead. The Pioneers led by as many as 25 points as the Gators could not slow them down for a comeback.
