ROHNERT PARK, Calif. — The San Francisco State men's basketball team dropped its last-ever game in The Wolves' Den on Saturday in a close 63-60 loss to host Sonoma State.
- SF State slips to 9-13 overall and 7-9 in CCAA play, into a four-way tie for sixth place. Sonoma State is 10-11 overall and 6-9 in conference action.
- The two teams split the season series and each won their respective home games. Sonoma State recently announced that it is discontinuing its Athletics program at the conclusion of the 2024-25 academic year. Dating back 32 seasons to the 1992-93 season, the Gators are 36-30 versus the Seawolves.
- Caden Flowers led the Gators with 17 points in Saturday's loss.Tyjean Burrell added 13 points, and John Bakke had 10 points and a game-high eight rebounds.
- Pearse Uniacke recorded his league-leading 45th block of the season. That moves him into sole possession of fifth place all-time on the single-season leaders list. He passes Terrence Super's 1999-2000 season. Uniacke's next block will tie him with Lawrence Williams' 1991-92 campaign. Williams is the Gators' all-time blocks leader with 222. Uniacke has 63 in his career, one behind Jonah Roth (2022-24) who is fourth all-time.

SF State led by eight at the 11-minute mark of the first half but lost the lead five minutes later and was never able to regain the advantage. The Seawolves burst out for an 11-0 run over the matter of two minutes and turned the tables, 30-26. The Gators pulled to within two but headed into the locker room trailing 36-30.
Sonoma State held its largest lead of the night inside six minutes to play, 58-49. The Gators threatened with a 9-0 run that tied the game at 58-58 but the effort to tie the game took its toll. Medeiros put the Seawolves back up 62-58 with back-to-back jumpers. Medeiros fouled Flowers with 45 seconds remaining and the gamble paid off. Flowers missed the free throw, although Bakke came up with a steal and Flowers eventually hit the turnaround jumper with 29 seconds remaining to keep the Gators within two. SF State was forced to foul twice and that send Medeiros to the line, where he made one. Medeiros fouled Bakke with two seconds remaining and Bakke missed both attempts.
