SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The San Francisco State men's basketball team went toe-to-toe with Cal State San Bernardino and went into overtime for a second straight game. They could not score on the final possession in the first overtime and ran out of steam in the second overtime in a 99-90 loss.

- After shooting 48.4 and 75.0 percent in the first and second half, the Gators shot below 30 percent in both overtime periods.
- The Gators went 19-for-26 at the line but missed a pair of key free throws in the first overtime. They were not fouled in the second overtime.
- Cal State San Bernardino held a 48 to 32 advantage on rebounds.
The Gators exploded on offense and were locked down on defense to lead 17-2 within the first five minutes of the game. They went 7-for-8 during that stretch and made all three three-point baskets shot. The offense cooled off as the Yotes found their way back into the game. Gavin Davis's three-point basket with 2:43 to go cut the Gator lead to 33-31. Evan McKnight had a pair of dunks to close out the half for the Gators and the Gators took a 37-34 lead to the locker room.
Xavier Clinton's deep three tied the game up at 39-39 but Martinez responded with a three of his own on the next possession. Clinton struck again at the 14:05 mark to give the Yotes their first lead of the game at 50-47. The Gators, who were already in the bonus, made their shots at the line to reclaim the lead and take a 59-51 lead with 10:16 to go. The Yotes came back to reclaim the lead by a possession. Down 72-69, The Gators and the Yotes battled and continued to exchange baskets on each possession. Fed Pernall shot a dagger three to tie the game at 76-76 with 1:15 to go. Both teams added a bucket to remain tied with 20 seconds left and the Yotes' ball. The Gators got the stop and grabbed the rebound to send the game to overtime.
Tied at 84-84, the Gators had the final possession with 27 seconds left. Pernell let the clock wind down and shot a three to seal the game but the shot missed and went to second overtime. The Yotes opened the second overtime on a 8-0 run and held onto the lead.
