SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco State men's basketball team hung around with Cal State San Bernardino in the first half but saw the Yotes pull away in the second and lost 73-60.
- SF State falls to 2-10 and 1-5 in conference. Cal State San Bernardino improves to 6-7 and 3-3 in the CCAA
- The Gators shot 40.0 percent from the field but the Yotes had the advantage with a 54.2 percent shooting percentage. This included a 70.6 shooting percentage in the second half.
- Three Gators reached double figures with Miles Pollard leading the way with 13 points.
- The Gators were near automatic at the line and went 12-for-13.
- SF State only grabbed 23 boards while the Yotes had 32.
The Gators started slow and fell behind 15-4 seven minutes into the game, forcing a timeout. Trailing but double figures through most of the first half, Markees Williams had a hand in all three baskets in a 6-2 run with 5:15 to go to cut the lead to 27-21. The Gators kept that six-point deficit heading into the locker room, trailing 31-25.
Down by eight coming out of the first media timeout, the Gators saw the deficit increase as the Yotes went on a 7-0 run to lead 47-32. The Gators were able to get back within ten with 9:11 to go but could not make up the ground to overtake the Yotes.
