Turlock, Calif.--- Cal State Stanislaus Warriors snapped the SF State Gators' unbeaten conference streak at seven this afternoon with a 3-0 win in Turlock. With the win, the Warriors improve to 6-5-4 overall and 2-5-3 in the CCAA while the Gators (who are in first place in the CCAA North) fall to 9-6-2 overall and 7-3-1 in the CCAA.
The Warriors struck first in the 30th minutes as Melissa Phillips connected on a penalty kick. Five minutes later, Tiffani Moore increased the Warriors lead to 2-0 as she connected on a cross from Gennaka Fox.
Marissa Dunaway sealed the win for the Warriors in the 70th minute off a ball from Rachel Mathews for her seventh goal of the season. The Warriors out shot the Gators 18-9 including 10-5 in the second half.
Emily Hart (Racho Santa Margarita, California, Tesoro) had five saves in goal for the Gators while Jessica Sitarz had two saves in goal for the Warriors.
SF State will look to get back on the winning track this Sunday at 11:30pm, when the Gators travel to Chico for a CCAA game with the Chico State Wildcats. SF State defeated Chico State 1-0 earlier this season in San Francisco.
