San Francisco, Calif.--- SF State's women's soccer team still has not a lost a home match after playing a scoreless tie with the visiting Cal State Stanislaus Warriors (5-2-3, 1-2-2 CCAA) this afternoon at SF State's Cox Stadium. The Gators are now 4-4-2 overall and 3-2-1 in the CCAA.
“This is a game that we should have won,” said SF State Head Coach Jack Hyde. “I am pleased with the weekend, four points is four points (SF State defeated Chico State 1-0 on Friday),” added Hyde.
The Gators were out shot by Cal State Stanislaus 13-9, but SF State out shot the Warriors 3-2 in the two overtime periods. Cal State Stanislaus had five shots on goal including two by Marissa Dunaway while four different Gators had shots on goal.
Emily Hart (Racho Santa Margarita, California, Tesoro) recorded five saves in goal for the Gators while Jessica Sitarz had four saves for Cal State Stanislaus.
The Gators who are now 4-0-2 at home will return home this Wednesday, October 1 at 3pm, when they host the Urban Knights of Academy of Art in an exhibition game at SF State's Cox Stadium.
