Sacramento, Calif.--- SF State's 4x100 relay team of
Brittany Johnson (Marina, Calif., Monte Vista Christian HS),
Carrie Thomas (Fremont, Calif., Milpitas HS),
Alicia Chambers (Roseville, Calif.), and
Kelly Guyton (Novato, Calif., Moorpark College)highlighted the Gators' team performance at the 2009 Hornet Invitational on the campus of Sacramento State University this afternoon with a third place time of 47.91.
Felicia Terwilliger (Eureka, Calif., West Warwich (Rhode Island))also had a third place finish with a jump of 5'5 in the high jump while
Meagen Moiola (Morro Bay, Calif., Morro Bay HS)was right behind with a fifth place jump of 5'3.
"Overall we had a very good meet, especially considering the high winds and occasionally heavy rain," said SF State Head Coach Terry Burke. "Once again our 4x100 realy team continues to improve, dropping their time by .4 seconds," added Burke. "They're closing in on the provisional qualifying mark." "
Felicia Terwilliger had a breakthrough performace and
Tyler Dalbey improved her personal beset time by three seconds and her season best by one second running a very smart and brave race from lane 8."

SF State will return to the track this weekend when the Gators participate in three invitationals. The Gators will participate in the Cal-Multi's on the campus of Cal-Berkeley this March 25 and 26. Then this Friday, SF State will host the Distance Carnival beginning at 10am at Cox Stadium. Also this Friday and Saturday, the Gators will participate in the Stanford Invitational.
