DAVIS, Calif. – Claire Fleming (Trabuco Hills, Calif., Orange Coast College) posted a career-best time of 10 minutes, 54.17 seconds in the 3,000-meter run on Saturday, leading select San Francisco State track and field competitors at the Aggie Open at Woody Wilson Track on the campus of UC Davis.

Fleming placed 10^th in the event, while Karen Marchan (Laguna Hills, Calif., Laguna Hills HS) (12^th – 10:56.55), Tanya Ferreira (Royal Oaks, Calif., North Monterey County HS) (14^th – 11:01.02) and Heather Cannioto (Garden Grove, Calif., Orange Coast College) (18^th – 11:06.50) also finished among the top 20.

In addition, Brittany Garrett (Hoover, Ala., Univ. of Southern Mississippi) turned in a 13^th-place performance in the 1,500 with a time of 4:46.09, while Kirsten Jackson (Oak Park, Calif., Oak Park HS) just missed a top 20 showing in the 800, crossing the finish line at 2:36.52 to wind up in 21^st.

SF State will return to Davis with a full squad on Friday, March 20, when it competes in the UC Davis Classic.
