TURLOCK, Calif.--- SF State lost its final game of the Tournament of Champions, presented by Mizuno, 8-0 to the Western Oregon Wolves (16-11) this morning at Pedretti Park in Turlock. The Gators will return to the softball field this Friday, April 2 in Seaside for a conference doubleheader with Cal State Monterey Bay.
The Wolves used a seven run second inning to key their victory over SF State (14-17). Jessica Hallmark led the way for Western Oregon going 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two runs batted in while three other Wolves had two hits apiece.
Jessica Wood (2-2) picked up the win for the Wolves, pitching 5 innings giving up two hits walking four and striking out five.
Ashley Jackson (Vallejo, California, St. Patrick's-St. Vincent) (7-6) recorded the loss for the Gators, pitching 1.2 innings, giving up five hits and five runs while striking out one and walking three.
