LA JOLLA, Calif.---  The UC San Diego Tritons took two games from the visiting SF State Gators this afternoon 7-3 and 2-0 at the Triton Softball Field in La Jolla.  Marissa Ibarra and Ashley Jackson suffered the losses for the Gators (2-7, 0-4 CCAA).

In game one, The Tritons jumped out a 3-0 lead in the first two innings.  SF State cut the Triton lead to 3-2 with a two-run third inning, but the hosts came back with a three-run third to take a 6-2 lead and added an insurance run as they held on for a 7-3 victory.

Marissa Ibarra took the loss for the Gators while Summer Powell, Kylie Grabowski, and Kylie Herrada each had two hits.

In the night cap, Camille Gaito pitched a two-hit complete game shutout for the Tritons (9-1, 4-0 CCAA) who won 2-0.  

Ashley Jackson (1-4) pitched six innings, giving up just two runs (both unearned) and two hits while striking out three and walking three.  

SF State will return to the diamond this Friday, February 18th for a CCAA doubleheader in Rohert Park against Sonoma State. First pitch is scheduled for noon on Friday.
