FOREST GROVE, Ore.—San Francisco State faced two non-conference opponents in a pair of duals Friday night. The Gators swept the night with a 29-10 win over Simon Fraser and a 31-6 victory over Pacific University.
The Gators improve their dual record to 3-4, while SFU falls to 1-10 and PU drops to 5-5 in duals.
Jairo Rodriguez started the first dual of the day against Skylor Davis in the 125 weight class. Davis took the points with a 13-5 major decision, but
Isaiah Hurtado grabbed SF State's first win of the day with a 16-1 technical fall win at 133 to put the Gators up 5-4.
Naveed Bagheri—who ranks fourth in the nation for his weight class—extended the Gators' lead to 10-4 with a dominating 16-0 technical fall win (4:26) at 141 over SFU's Dillon Hume.
SF State continued to grab points over the Clan, with

Another six points were given to the Gators after

SF State took the next three matches by decision victories.
Isaiah Jimenez defeated Brock Lamb 5-2 at 165, followed by
A.J. Simon's 5-1 victory and
Calvin Nicholls 4-0 win, giving the Gators a commanding 29-4 lead.
While the Clan wrestlers were able to claim the next two matches, it wasn't enough to overpower the Gators as SFSU took the dual 29-10.
In the nightcap, SF State took on host Pacific and steamrolled past the Boxers to a 31-6 dual victory.
Marc Collier kicked the dual off with a 5-0 decision over Daylin Ruggerio at 125, putting the Gators up 3-0 early.
Hurtado took his second win of the night in a battle, coming away with a 19-12 decision victory at 133 to give SFSU another three points.
Building on his earlier victory, Bagheri remained undefeated without surrendering a single point and defeated Ryan Baxter by technical fall at 141. The 15-0 win (6:22) put the Gators up 11-0 over the Boxers.
At 149, Snell also grabbed his second win on the night, pinning Pacific's Will Patrick at the 1:37 mark for six points.
Up 17-0, the Gators claimed the next three matches with Aboytes (157), Jimenez (165), and Simon (174) remaining undefeated on the night. Aboytes and Simon each won by decision, while Jimenez took a win by major decision (15-7) over Bruce Balcita.
Pacific was able to grab six points off two decision victories at the 184 and 197 weight classes, but
Richard Segovia took a major decision win over Evan Schreurs (9-1) to give the Gators the 31-6 defeat over the Boxers.
The Gators will look to build off the momentum it gained tonight as it heads back out on the road to the University of Nebraska–Kearney Duals next week.
