MANILA, Philippines – Former SF State women's volleyball player Iris Tolenada was selected first overall in the 2015 PSL Draft by Phillips Gold. Tolenada, a setter, who played for SF State from 2009-12 is the Gators career record holder in assists.
The native of Antioch, Calif., was named to 2012 CCAA Player of the Year, the only Gator volleyball player to earn that honor. She is currently the all-time leader in assists with 4,678, she is second all-time in digs with 1,275 and third in aces wit 121.
Tolenada was taken Philips Gold, formerly Mane N' Tail. The draft was concluded on Thursday, the season begins March 22
nd.
