SAN FRANCISCO – The SF State softball team will make the short trip to Rohnert Park to take on Sonoma State for a four-game CCAA series starting Friday at 1:00 p.m. The four game series will feature live stats and video and will conclude with a double header on Saturday.
SF State enters this weekend with an overall record of 10-34 and are 5-21 in the CCAA. They are currently in the midst of a six game losing streak after dropping two to Academy of Art on Monday and falling to No. 5 Sonoma State over the weekend. Against the Otters, the Gators lost all four games by a combined six runs, losing two games by a single run.
As a team, the Gators are hitting .263 which is 10
th in the CCAA, they are averaging 2.84 runs per game. Leading the team at the dish is freshman catcher
Sara Higa. Higa is hitting .320 going 31-for-97, she is tied for second on the team with 18 RBI.
Jennifer Lewis is leading the team with 40 hits, and has a team-high 12 extra-base hits, clubbing eight doubles, a triple and three home runs.
Courtney Gravel is second on the team with 37 hits. Her assault on the SF State record book continues, she currently has 185 hits which is seventh all-time, she is one shy of tying No. 6 all-time and four shy of tying No. 5 all-time. Her 22 career doubles is tied for 10
th, and her 88 runs scored is 10
th on the team.

Megan Clark. Clark is 4-15 on the year, bin 123.0 innings pitched she has scattered 155 hits, 52 earned runs with 41 strike outs to 32 walks. Her ERA is 11
th best in the CCAA. Last weekend, against the Coyotes, Clark went 0-2 but pitched beautifully, she threw 14 innings, and surrendered just 12 hits, five earned runs with three walks and five strike outs.
Sonoma State enters this weekend third in the conference. They currently sit at 31-14 and are 18-9 in the CCAA. As a team, they are hitting .324 which is third in the CCAA, and are averaging 5.53 runs per game. Leading the team is outfielder Keeley Ray, who is hitting .475. Last weekend, she extended her hitting streak to 25 games, she has also set the new CCAA record for consecutive games reaching safely with 45.
In the circle the Seawolves boast a staff ERA of 3.41 which is fifth in the conference. In 296.0 innings pitched, they have allowed 301 hits, 144 earned runs with 229 strike outs to 95 walks. With an 18-10 mark and a 2.77 ERA, Amanda Llerena is the unquestioned staff ace. In 179.2 innings pitched she has scattered 153 hits with 174 strike outs to just 33 walks.
