SAN FRANCISCO – Fresh off a midweek non-conference clash with the ninth ranked team in the nation, the SF State women's softball team is ready for a return to conference opponents. The Gators will host Stanislaus State for a four game series starting Friday at noon at the SF State Softball Field. The series will conclude with a double header on Saturday starting at 11:00 a.m. All four games will feature live stats.
SF State enters this weekend's series with an overall record of 9-10 after dropping both games of yesterday's double header against No. 9 ranked Cal Baptist. In the CCAA the Gators are 6-6 which is seventh in the standings. Prior to falling to the Lancers on Tuesday's contest the Gators were on a hot streak, having won three of four on the road at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
As a team, SF State is hitting .250 which is 10
th in the conference, while averaging 4.15 runs per game. In the circle, the Gators strong pitching staff boasts an ERA of 2.99 which is fifth in the conference, they are holding their opponents to a 2.50 batting average which is also fifth in the CCAA.
At the plate The Gators have three players hitting over .320 and are led by sophomore catcher
Angelica Terrel. Terrel was 3-for-6 on Tuesday and is tops on the team with 21 hits and five doubles with a home run.

Megan Clark who has five wins, but SF State boasts three starters with ERA's south of 3.50. Clark has an ERA of 2.55, right behind her is
Lindsey Cassidy who has a 2.65 ERA. Both Clark and Cassidy threw complete games against the Lancers, holding Cal Baptist to a combined three earned runs over 14 innings.
Stanislaus State enters Friday's contest with a 13-10 overall record, and are 10-8 in the CCAA. The Warriors enter this weekend's series on a hot streak, having won five of their last six, including three of four from Cal State Dominguez Hills and two-straight over Cal State East Bay last weekend.
As a team, the Warriors are hitting .338 as a team which is tops in the conference and 18
th in the nation, they are averaging 5.43 runs per contest. Their pitching staff has struggled so far, boasting an ERA of 4.76 which is 11
th in the conference, their opponents are hitting .300 against them which is ninth in the conference.
Leading the team at the plate is Alexus Martinez who is hitting .480 on the year, she has 36 hits including seven doubles. Cassidy Duke has four home runs to lead the team. In the circle Karina Callazo is tops on the team with a 2.01 ERA and a perfect 4-0 record. Kylie Ragsdale leads the team with eight wins.
