TURLOCK, Calif. – The No. 6 San Francisco State track & field duo of
Devanique Brown and
An Vo opened up the Stanislaus State Multi on Thursday, competing in four events.
Brown notched personal-best 14.55 in the 100m hurdles to take an early second-place finish in the heptathlon standings. Vo ran an 18.02 in the event.
In shot put, Brown cruised to a first-place finish with a toss of 12.55m, beating the second-place finisher by over a meter and setting a new PR. Vo threw a 9.21m, which is also a personal-best mark.
Brown also shined in the 200m, placing second overall with a time of 25.78 for another PR. Vo also logged a personal best, running the 200m in 27.98. Vo came in fifth in her flight in high jump with a season-best distance of 1.37m, and Brown notched a 1.46m.
After day one, Brown currently sits second overall in the heptathlon standings with 2,994 points, while Vo is tenth with 2,045 points.

Brown and Vo wrap up the Stanislaus State Multi tomorrow with events kicking off at 11:30 a.m. The rest of the Gators will head up to Davis, California for the Woody Wilson Classic, which starts at 2 p.m. with hammer throw.
