AUSTIN, Texas - San Francisco State softball student-athlete Andrea Hildan has been named to the 2019 Google Cloud NCAA Division II Academic All-District First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Hildan ranked sixth on the team this season with a .321 batting average and has hit over .320 for the second straight season. The sophomore has 14 multi-hit games this season to give her 32 for her career, and has accumulated 117 hits so far in two seasons. A mechanical engineering major, Hildan is one of two sophomores on the All-District First Team and bosts and exemplary 3.98 GPA.Â
The Rocklin, California native becomes the first CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree since 2016. First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot, and those honorees will be announced in June.
The 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The Division II Google Cloud Academic All-America program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Division II Academic All-America teams.
