CULVER CITY, Calif. — San Francisco State wrestlers
Maxamillian Schneider and
Justin Pichedwatana have been listed on TheOpenMat.com's inaugural set of NCAA Division II Individual College Wrestling Rankings.
Student-athletes who are known to be redshirting or are not currently on a roster are not ranked. During the season, wrestlers who miss two weeks of scheduled competition (excluding opens), will be removed from the rankings (with some exceptions based on available information). They will be returned to the rankings when they compete. Ineligible student-athletes are not ranked, even if they are competing in open tournaments and plan to return to the lineup in the second semester. When they return eligible, they will be ranked.
Last season, Schneider was selected to the All-RMAC Team at 165 pounds. He posted an 11-4 record with five wins by fall. TheOpenMat.com ranks him at No. 9 at 165 pounds.
In 2018-19, Pichedwatana was 24-11 and earned All-American honors with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships. Ahead of next season, TheOpenMat.com ranks the All-RMAC Second Team selection at No. 5 at 184 pounds.
