SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco State Volleyball team announces the addition of two transfer student-athletes to the program. Clare Mannion Deal and Rebecca Rendahl will join the Gators for the spring semester.
"We are very excited to add both Clare and Becca to the roster this spring," stated Head Coach Matt Hoffman. "Both bring a wealth of experience and having them come in the spring will allow us to integrate them with the returners and train so that we will be that much more prepared for the fall."

During the 2021 season at Ohlone College, Mannion Deal led the CCCAA Coast-North in kills (383), kills per set (4.16), service aces per set (0.65), was third in digs per set (3.35) and fourth in digs (308). Mannion Deal was named to the All-Conference team in 2019 and 2021, was a scholar-athlete award recipient in 2019 and 2020 and the 5
th MVP in 2021. Before Ohlone, Mannion Deal played in the Spanish National League with her club team Volei Monjos for three seasons.

Hometown: San Marcos, California
Rendahl played in 43 matches over the past three seasons at Fresno State and tallied 98 blocks and 59 kills. During the 2020-21 season, Rendahl ranked second on the team in blocks (51) and was 13th in the Mountain West. Prior to Fresno State, Rendahl redshirted for University of Minnesota in 2018. That year the Gophers won the Big 10 and made the NCAA Sweet 16. Rendahl has earned All-Academic Big Ten and Mountain West Honors for the past four seasons.
The Gators are coming off an impress 2021 campaign where they finished with a 22-5 record that included a perfect 16-0 record at home. The 22 wins are tied for the most in a season. Senior Outside Hitter Jessica Haynie earned All-American Honorable Mention by the AVCA.
