#15 Sonoma State Blanks Gators

Israel Cisneros Recorded Eight Saves in Goal
Rohnert Park, Calif.--- The 15th ranked Sonoma State University Seawolves (15-2-1, 13-0 CCAA) won their 14th straight game this afternoon as they blanked the SF State Gators 3-0 at Seawolf Field in Rohnert Park. 
            David Seidel put the Seawolves on the board first off a ball from Eric Lafon and Michael Asaro in the 23rd minute of the first half. Nathan Medina made it 2-0 Sonoma State at the 56:50 mark off a ball from Steven Browne. Seidel sealed the game for the Seawolves in the 70th minute off a missed shot from Asaro. 
            This is the first time in four matches that the Seawolves have beaten SF State on their home field. Brook Johnson had three saves in goal for Sonoma State, who out shot its visitors 23-6. SF State's Israel Cisneros (Jr, GK, Watsonville, CA/Hartnell College) recorded eight saves in goal. 
            The Gators (7-9-2, 4-7-1 CCAA) will continue their season ending four-game road trip this Wednesday, October 24th at 3pm for a CCAA match with CSU Monterey Bay in Seaside, Calif. The Otters defeated Humboldt State 3-0 this afternoon in Arcata. SF State defeated the Otters 2-1 earlier this season in San Francisco.
