Seaside, Calif.--- SF State's baseball team lost 13-7 to the CSU Monterey Bay Otters (10-35, 5-23 CCAA) in the series finale of this weekend's four game conference series between the two teams. The Gators won the series three games to one as they won the first three games (12-10, 7-4, and 10-8) to improve to 14-29 overall and 7-25 in the CCAA.
Ryan Chagonjian scored the game's first run in the second inning to give the Otters a 1-0 lead after leading off the inning with a single and later scoring on a ground out by Robert Mendoza. Sean Proni (Valencia, CA, College of Marin)two-out two-run double in the Gator half of the third gave the visitors a 2-1 lead as both Javier Solis (Gridley, Yuba College) and Nick Nyman (Susanville, California, Lassen College) scored.

Greg Kline (Las Vegas, Nevada, San Joaquin Delta College) keyed a three-run sixth inning for the Gators with a two-run double which scored Matt Memeo (Cottonwood, California, Shasta College)and Ryan Williams (Woodland, Yuba College)to cut the hosts' lead to 7-5. Mays once again hit a two-run single to give the Otters a 9-5 lead. CSU Monterey Bay scored three more in the seventh and added an insurance run in the eighth to take a 13-5 lead going into the Gators' last at bat.
