SAN FRANCISCO--- SF State's baseball team scored 15 runs on 20 hits of which 9 were extra base hits in the Gators' 15-2 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) weekend series opening victory over the visiting Cal State Monterey Bay Otters this afternoon at Maloney Field. Of the 9 extra-base hits, the Gators had three two-run home runs one each by 
Kevin Dultz (Altadena, California, Glendale Community College), 
Greg Kline (Las Vegas, Nevada, San Joaquin Delta College), and 
Drew Andersen (Gilroy, California, William Penn University)to key their victory over the Otters.
 
 
SF State is now 20-27 overall and 13-20 in the CCAA. The Gators' 20 wins is the most since 2006 when they finished the season 22-31-2. The two teams will continue their four-game weekend series with a doubleheader tomorrow afternoon in Seaside, Calif., on the campus of Cal State Monterey Bay beginning at noon. Then on Sunday they will return to Maloney Field for a single game at noon. 
 
Kevin Dultz hit a two-run home run to left field in the bottom of the first inning with one to start the scoring for the Gators. Dultz's fifth home run of the season drove in 
Nick Nyman (Susanville, California, Lassen College), who reached on a hits batsman. 
Ryan Williams (Woodland, California, Yuba College)then doubled to right field and scored on a two-run home run to left center by 
Greg Kline (his third of the season) to give the Gators a 4-0 lead.
 
SF State added two more runs in the second on a one-out two-run home run to right field by Andersen to increase its lead to 6-0. This was Andersen's second home run of the year as he drove in 
Ben Mielke (Arcata, California, Shasta College)who reached on a triple to right field.
 
Ronnie Fhurong drove in the Otters' first run of the game on a two-out single up the middle that drove in Nolan Murray. SF State came back with a run of its own to give the hosts a 7-1 lead. Nyman and Dultz hit back to back singles to open up the fifth and then with two outs they had a successful double steal attempt and Nyman scored on an errant throw to second base. 
 
The Otters (7-35, 3-30 CCAA) scored their second run on a two-out RBI single up the middle by Thomas George in their half of the sixth. Once again, the Gators came back and scored a run in their half of the sixth on a RBI single by Andersen that drove in 
Sean Proni (Valencia, California, College of Marin), who reached earlier on a single to make the score 8-2 SF State.
 
The Gators broke the game open with a five run seventh inning and added two more runs in eighth to make the final 15-2 SF State.
 
Senior pitcher Spencer 
Spencer Kreisberg (Tigard, Oregon, Los Medanos College) (3-6) picked up the complete game victory by giving up 10 hits and two runs while striking out one and walking two. 
 
Corey Lathram (1-5) recorded the loss for Cal State Monterey Bay while Nolan Murray had three of the Otters' 10 hits.
 
Andersen led the Gator hitting attack going 3-for-6 with four RBIs and scoring twice. Dultz also had three hits, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Nyman and Proni also had two hits apiece for SF State.
