HAYWARD, Calif.---  SF State's senior post player Dominique Hunter (San Francisco, California, Gateway)recorded her 12th double-double of the season as the Gators snapped their losing streak in their 49-43 road conference victory at Cal State East Bay. Hunter scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while blocking four shots in the Gators' win.  

"I just have to say finally," said SF State Head Coach Joaquin Wallace.

SF State (2-18, 2-14 CCAA) built a 20-13 lead with 5:40 to go in the first half on two made free throws by Hunter.  Cal State East Bay came back and outscored the Gators 10-2 to take a 23-22 lead into the locker room.

The Gators took a 30-28 lead in the first five minutes of the second half on two made free trows by Hunter and never looked back.  They increased their lead to 40-30 on a Nicole Hicks (Santa Clarita, California, Saugus High School)made free throw with 7:24 to go in the game.

Cal State East Bay (2-19, 2-14 CCAA) cut the Gator lead to 49-46, but there was only one second left on the clock as SF State held on for the conference road win.

Besides Hunter's 14 points, Sherika Miller (San Diego, California, West Hills HS) added 10 points for the Gators.  SF State held its hosts to just 32% shooting from the field including 30% in the second half while forcing 22 turnovers.

Lauren Lucchesi scored 11 points for the Pioneers and Kristin Lin chipped in 10.

SF State will continue its four-game road trip this Friday, February 11th at 5:30pm at Cal State LA.
