SAN FRANCISCO--  The SF State women's basketball team will begin the second half of the CCAA season with a pair of road games this weekend.  The Gators will travel to Seaside, Calif., this Friday, Feb. 1 for a 5:30pm PST scheduled tip-off with Cal St. Monterey Bay.  Then this Saturday, Feb. 2, they will travel across the Bay to Hayward, Calif., for a 5:30pm scheduled contest with Cal State East Bay. 

The Gators head into the second half of the season wtih a 9-7 overall record and a 6-6 record in the CCAA.  They are in sixth place in the conference after going 1-1 last weekend at home.  The Gators lost 53-51 to UC San Diego and came back the next night to defeat Cal State San Bernardino 52-42.  The trio of Angela Van Sickel, Farrah Shokoor and Nicole Hicks lead the way for SF State.  Van Sickel is averaging a team high 12.4 points per game average followed by Shokoor at 11.9 ppg and Hicks at 10.8 ppg.

After this weekend, the Gators will return home for four of their next six games including hosting Chico State (Feb. 8) and Cal State Stanislaus (Feb. 9).
