Andrew Ogilvy Had 5 Shot Attemptsin the Gators' 2-0 Loss
Box Score POMONA---  Playing in their last road match of the season, it was the visiting SF State Gators losing 2-0 to the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos this afternoon at Kellogg Field in Pomona, Calif.  The Broncos scored their two goals early and late to take the 2-0 victory.
 
Each team recorded 7 shots on goal while the hosts had a 3-0 advantage in shots on goal.  Cal Poly Pomona did hold a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.
 
SF State looked it like it was going to take a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute, but Andrew Ogilvy had his shot attempt blocked by the Bronco defense. 
 
The Broncos (6-6-4, 4-6-4 CCAA) took a 1-0 lead when Matthew Perez connected on a pass from Luis Najera, Jr. 
 
Ogilvy went to tie the match eight minutes, but his shot was blocked again and another one sailed high. 
 
SF State had another chance to tie the late in the first half, but Gabriel Flores' shot sailed wide right to send the match into the half with a Bronco 1-0 lead.

Ogilvy had another chance to tie the match for the Gators sail high in the 67th minute.
 
The match remained 1-0 until the 86th minute, when Ian Trantow sealed the match for the hosts as he connected on a ball from Jesus Tomayo.
 
Anthony Rodriguez had one save in his first of the season in goal for the Gators, who fall to 3-12-1 overall and 2-11-1 in the CCAA.
 
SF State will return home for its final two matches of the regular season this weekend.  This Friday, November 1, the Gators will host Cal State Monterey Bay in a 12:30pm starting match.  They will then host Cal State San Bernardino a week from this afternoon at 11:30am on Sunday, November 3.  Prior to the match, the Gators will recognize their two seniors in Anthony Rodriguez and Chris Behroozian
