SAN FRANCISCO--- The SF State Gators' women's basketball team will finish off their 2013 part of this year's schedule with a road conference game with Sonoma State this Sunday, Dec. 22. Tip-off for this Sunday's matinee will be 2pm at The Wolves' Den on the campus of Sonoma State in Rohnert Park. The Gators defeated Sonoma State this past Friday evening in San Francisco 62-52.
SF State has won its last four games in a row to improve to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the CCAA, which ties the Gators for first place with Cal Poly Pomona. They are averaging 75.9 points per game with the trio of
Katie Batlin,
Angela Van Sickel and
Lauren Varney leading the way with their respective 15.9, 14.9 and 11.1 averages. Batiln also leads the Gators with her 9.1 rebounding average, 33 assists and 30 steals.
After this Sunday's rematch with Sonoma State, SF State will be off until Jan. 3 when the Gators face Cal State L.A. in Los Angeles for a 5:30pm scheduled conference game.
