SAN FRANCISCO--- The SF State Gators will return to the diamond this weekend as they face the Sonoma State Seawolves in a four-game weekend CCAA series. The series will begin with a single nine-inning game at SF State's Maloney Field this Friday, March 22 with a scheduled 3pm first pitch. The four-game series will move to Rohnert Park, Calif., this Saturday, March 23 for a doubleheader starting at 11am. It will conclude with a 11am starting nine-inning game this Sunday, March 24.
The Gators (9-15, 6-10 CCAA) are coming off a 1-3 weekend against Cal Poly Pomona. Grady Espinosa leads the team way with his .319 batting average, .418 slugging percentage, 14 RBIs, 38 total bases, 6 doubles, 29 hits and 8 stolen bases. Nolan Sheridan has a 3-0 record to lead the Gators' pitcher while Zack Malik has struck out a team high 25 batters and has a 3.20 earned run average to lead SF State.
