SAN FRANCISCO--- The SF State Gators' baseball team will host #10 Chico State this week in a four-game CCAA series beginning with a single nine-inning game this Thursday, March 28 with a scheduled first pitch of 3pm. The series will continue with a doubleheader this Friday, March 29 beginning at 11am and conclude with a single game this Saturday, March 30 also at 11am. SF State is currently 10-18 overall and 7-13 in the CCAA while the Wildcats are 19-5 overall and 12-4 in the CCAA.
SF State is coming off a 1-3 weekend against then #24 Sonoma State in which the Gators won the series finale 2-1. In that win, sophomore catcher
Mark Lindsay had two RBI singles including the game-winner in the 8th which drove in
Dillon Meyer with the game-winning run.
Nolan Sheridan recorded his first save of the season and Taylor Wade improved to 2-0.
Grady Espinosa still leads the Gators with his .324 batting average, 15 runs scored, 34 hits, 6 doubles, 43 total bases, .410 slugging and .388 on-base percentages. Sheridan has recorded a team high three victories and
Peter Reyes has a team high 5 saves.
Zack Malik leads the Gators' pitcher with his 2.76 ERA and 30 strikeouts.
