Back home and back to conference play for SF State

SAN FRANCISCO --- The SF State Gators return home to host Cal State Monterey Bay for a four-game California Collegiate Athletic Association series, beginning Friday at 1 p.m. The Gators, who earlier this year run-ruled the Otters 9-1 in five innings, will conclude the series with a doubleheader on Saturday at noon.

All four games will feature live stats found at http://www.sidearmstats.com/sfsu/softball/xlive.htm.

Marisa Ibarra leads the Gators with a 1.98 ERA--ranking seventh in the conference--in 144.2 innings pitched with 94 strikeouts. Ashley Huff is still tied for first with four triples and ranks third on the team with a .277 batting average. Courtney Gravel leads SF State with a .304 average at the plate and is second on the team with 14 RBIs. Kylie Grabowski has batten in a team-high 16 RBIs and holds a .276 batting average. Marisa Andrade follows Gravel with a .279 average as a pinch hitter and leads the team with a .419 slugging percentage. Kelsey Murakami comes off a strong performance at the TOC, hoping to keep her bat hot, as she averaged .529 at the plate with nine hits to earn her all-tournament honors.

Otter Notes
Cal State Monterey Bay enters the weekend with a 24-19 overall record and sits fifth in the conference at 12-12. As a team, the Otters bat at .295, led by Cori Reinhardt's .459 batting average, which tops the CCAA. Reinhardt also leads the conference with 46 RBIs and is tied for first with four triples. Along with being a threat in the batter's box, Reinhardt also can be dangerous in the circle and ranks 10th in the conference with a 2.32 ERA. Just above Reinhardt is teammate Lindsey Clarkson, boasting a team-best 2.27 ERA.
