Jennifer Lewis and Kyle Grabowski were the only other Gators to record a hit in the first game.

In the night cap, the Gators jumped out front first, scoring a run in the top of the second.  Lewis led off the inning with a double to right center field.  She came around to score on the two out base hit back up the middle by Brent.  SF State had an opportunity to for more runs when an illegal pitch put runners at second and third following the base hit by Courtney Gravel.  The Pioneers escaped further damage when Selina Rodriguez lined out to first to end the inning.

Cal State East Bay scored two runs in the bottom of the third to briefly take the lead, 2-1.  A suicide squeeze bunt scored the first run of the game for the Pioneers; a one out double to left field scored the other run.  SF State's starter Megan Clark (2-2) retired the next two batters to end the threat.
