SAN FRANCISCO--- The SF State Gators' men's basketball team is currently in a three-way tie for fourth place in the CCAA with Cal State Stanislaus and Cal State L.A. heading into the final two weeks of the regular season. The Gators are 12-9 overall and 10-8 in the CCAA after going 1-1 last weekend. The top six teams at the end of the regular season receive bids to the 2013-14 CCAA Basketball Championships at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif., March 6-8.
The Gators are led by the trio of
Nefi Perdomo (18.6 ppg),
Will Overton, Jr. (13.0 ppg) and
Calvin Otiono (10.2 popg). Perdomo also has a team high 45 steals while leading the team with his 47% shooting from the field, 41% shooting from trhee's and 60 three's made. Otiono has a team high 61 assists and Overton has connected on a team best 84% of his attempts from the line.
After this weekend, the Gators will return home for their final two home games of the regular season against Cal State East Bay (Feb. 28) and Cal State Monterey Bay (March 1). Game times for both games are set for 7:30pm. Prior to the game on March 1, SF State will recognize its seniors with a pre-game ceremony in
